Session 7 (In-Person)
Rough Outline:
Okay so the main critiques to keep note of while I'm planning this session are:
-
Allow for more player agency
- Don't always fully paint a picture for how you imagine the party will interact with something; get the basics (if anything) and then create it as the party interacts with it
-
No "Do this or die"
- e.g. Great Rat Spirit, Deborhai, etc.
-
Keep the threats around the party as attainable threats that the party can theoretically overcome
- e.g. bank rats, Deborhai, etc.
-
Make the plot more intertwined with the characters' goals quicker
- Make sure that the characters have stakes in the overarching plot, that way they aren't just being pulled along.
-
More player based objectives when they're reluctant
- Little things work as well, like giving Owen some local fishing holes or whatnot
-
More Exploration?
- That's what was voted on most in the poll, so please your players
